You’ve found your gown, set the prom dress uk code and figured out what your bridesmaids are going to wear. Think you’re done figuring out attire for your wedding? Think again. While the dress code is all the guidance you can give to your guests, there are a few VIPs you’ll want to talk to more specifically about what they’ll wear. After all, they’ll be in all of your wedding photos and you want them to look their best! So can you tell your mom what you want her to wear to your wedding? Here’s what our experts have to say.

You knew you’d need to choose a dress for your bridesmaids (unless you’re going mismatched, of course!), but dressing your mom may not have been on your radar. While you don’t need to pick out her exact outfit for her, giving your mom some guidance will help her find a dress that’s the perfect fit for your theme and dress code, as well as make her feel more comfortable in what she’s chosen.

If your mom has great style and is confident shopping on her own, give her a few key details to look for, then let her loose. That could be a general color scheme, a length or fabric, or a style you want her to lean toward or avoid. Is she less comfortable buying formal-wear on her own? Turn it into a girls’ day! Head to the mall together, then help her narrow down the choices so she finds something that looks and feels great.

For the most part, the mother of the bride tends to wear a color that coordinates with the design of the wedding. That could be a navy prom dress shops if you’ve picked a preppy scheme, a shade of pink if your centerpieces range from blush to fuchsia, or gold or champagne if you’re going totally formal. Make sure you let her know what the bridesmaids will be wearing so she doesn’t accidentally pick something too similar!

Of course, having your mom match your wedding isn’t required. We love a mom in a bright ball gown at a black-and-white wedding, or a playful floral print for a springtime bash.

For the first time, the Aiken Standard is offering free publication of wedding, engagement and anniversary announcements in every Sunday edition at no charge, all year long in celebration of the paper's own 150th anniversary in 2017.

First published in 1867, the newspaper wants to share the joy of reaching its 150th year in business with the community, and what better way than celebrating local couple's milestones, as well?

“Engagements, weddings and anniversaries tell the personal stories of our community. They are fun to read, and belong in the Aiken Standard as an important part of the fabric of our shared history,” said Aiken Standard Publisher Rhonda Overbey.

Announcements will be published at no charge every Sunday in the Living on the Go section of the paper through the yearlong sponsorship of The Furniture Connection on East Pine Log Road in Aiken.

Announcements can also be shared online by visiting aikenstandard.com – just click on the "Features" tab and select "Announcements and Celebrations."

The deadline to submit announcements and photos is each Wednesday at noon for publication on the following Sunday.

Free wedding and engagement announcements will feature a standard-sized 2-column photo – which is about 3.5 inches wide and 5 inches deep – accompanied by a written description up to 500 words.

To publish a larger photo, the Aiken Standard is offering a special 150th anniversary price of $150 to publish a 3-column-wide, 7-inch-deep photo, accompanied by a written description with no word limit.

For anniversaries – whether it's your first, 10th, 25th or 50th – we encourage couples to share their before and after photos. We'll publish both photos with anniversary announcements, which also are shareable online.

Announcements generally include the names of the couple, their city of residence, the date and place of the wedding and the name of the person presiding over the ceremony, as well as the names of the couple's parents and grandparents.

To make the process even easier, forms for weddings, engagements and anniversaries can be filled out online at . Printable versions of these forms are included with this story online and will be available for download in the coming week.

She’s visibly gone up (and down) in cup sizes over the years, and ended up really regretting it. “I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs,” she writes to herself. “All those years I denied it — stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you’ve got.”

Victoria and her hot husband David Beckham have been married for 17 years, and she credits at least part of that longevity to effort. “In marriage: have patience. Bite your tongue. Be supportive. And preserve a bit of mystique,” she says. “Never let yourself go completely (at least brush your hair, clean your teeth, have a bit of a brow going on because you will always want him to look at you and feel attracted).”

A little hairspray goes a long way

She tells her teenage self to let “her skin breathe” by wearing less makeup and warns her to never, ever let a makeup artist shave her eyebrows. But there’s one beauty addiction she’ll never overcome. “You will always be addicted to Elnett hairspray but you will tone it down. Less of the ‘Hello! I just got stuck in a wind tunnel’, please.”
